A business that provides pipeline construction services was in need of several large excavators from both dealers and private sellers to bid on and win a multi-year contract that has now propelled his business from a small operation to over 100 employees.

The client operated a relatively modest business when we first met, but was aware of an upcoming contract that could take his business to new heights. He was in need of several larger machines totally nearly $2,000,000 to be able to win and execute the work required. We were able to leverage our relationships with our lender base to place all the requests at very competitive pricing and he acquired all machines needed to win the work.

We were able to assist this customer at a time he was a brand new business and the banks were of no help to him. By having relationships with 20+ lending sources we were able to place his initial and substantial start-up equipment needs with several different lenders. The requests were all be approved with limited information required and our client got his business off the ground without a hitch. The business remains a core client of Carbon Capital to this day.

Meet Brad

Born and raised in Thunder Bay, ON, I’ve now been proud to call Calgary home for nearly 25 years. I was able to gain invaluable real-world experience working in landscape construction, mining and outside sales industries in both Thunder Bay and Calgary in my teens and early 20’s.

My time in the equipment finance industry began in 2007 when I was hired by bank-owned direct lender and continued there until 2013 when I decided to hang my own shingle and Carbon Capital was formed.

I’m truly fortunate to have the support of my loving wife and our 4 kids at home when the workday is done. There’s little better in this world than having an amazing family to go home to and experience life with.

Without question - race cars, muscle cars, hockey and sports in general are passions of mine. There aren’t many things I haven’t tried to learn about, try out or observe, so I’m sure we’ll have some things in common!
